2 = AVERAGE
3 = GOOD, ABOVE AVERAGE
4 = EXCELLENT

CUSTOMER VALUE PROPOSITION
Fully defined and validated through Customer Discovery Process. Has a sustainably differentiated solution for strong unmet needs of well-defined customer segments. “Why now?” is clearly answered.
  • Problem/Solution statement is clear. Key elements are clearly defined
  • Unique and sustainable differentiation
  • Defensibility of IP and/or sustainaable competitive advantage
  • Validated pain point, with target customers
ECONOMIC MODEL
  • Economic Model is well articulated and supported with operating data.
  • MVP tests have provided validation or initial results are validating.
  • Sales strategy and sales cycle are clearly defined; evidence of early traction
  • Financial projections are logical based on customers, market sizing, realistic margins, and scalability
  • Raise amount sufficient to get business to a significant milestone.
GO-TO-MARKET
  • Large, addressable market
  • GTM plan fully validated or underway.
  • CAC or LTV have been determined and being optimized
  • Channels for driving awareness, trial, partnerships, conversion are clearly defined or plan is in place for testing.
TEAM
Co-founders and other key team members have solid domain and startup experience and clearly defined roles within the company. Their areas of expertise are complementary to each other. They convey a passion for solving a real specific problem.
